The Method
Lagree is a low-impact, high-intensity workout that builds strength, endurance, balance and flexibility in one 45 minute class. At Forme it is taught on the Mega Pro machine, using slow, controlled movements under constant tension. See how the workout works.
Both are low-impact and both build a strong core. Lagree is generally higher in intensity and adds a cardiovascular element, with slow movements held under constant tension on the Mega Pro, a machine that grew out of the Pilates reformer. Plenty of people do both, which is why Forme's Atwater Village studio will offer Lagree and Mat Pilates under one roof.
Yes. Every class is scalable to your level, and instructors offer modifications throughout. If it is your first time, book Beginner Forme, a slower paced class with extra time for machine setup, explanation and form.
Clients most often talk about a stronger core, more defined legs and glutes, and better endurance. The work is slow and sustained, so most people feel it in their very first class.
Your First Class
Expect 45 minutes of slow, intense, muscle-shaking movement on the Mega Pro. Classes are capped at 10 people, so your instructor can set you up on the machine and guide your form from the first minute.
Wear breathable, form-fitting workout clothes. Loose fabric can get caught in the machine's springs, and fitted clothing helps your instructor see your form. Grip socks are required.
Yes. Grip socks are mandatory for every class and must be worn at all times in the studio. If you do not have a pair, you can buy them at the studio.
Arrive 5 to 10 minutes before class starts, so there is time to check in and get set up on the machine. Late arrivals may not be admitted and may forfeit their class.
Bring your grip socks and a water bottle. You will also need to complete a liability waiver online before your first class.
A few. Phones and other devices stay away during class, athletic attire and grip socks are required, and we ask everyone to be respectful of instructors, staff and fellow clients.
Classes and Booking
Two. Full Body Forme is the signature class, 45 minutes that work every major muscle group, with modifications for all levels. Beginner Forme is a slower paced version with extra focus on machine setup and form.
Every class is capped at 10 people. Small class sizes ensure our instructors can guide every inch of your form.
There are three ways. Pick a time on the schedule and reserve, and you will be prompted to create your account. Or buy a class pack or membership on the pricing page first, and the credits will sit in your account ready to use. Or download the Forme Lagree app for iOS or Android and manage everything from your phone.
Join the waitlist when you book. You will be notified if a spot opens, and you need to confirm it to claim it. Keep an eye on your waitlist status so the cancellation policy does not catch you out.
Cancel at least 8 hours before class to avoid losing the credit or being charged a fee. All purchases are final, but Forme may offer extensions for medical situations with documentation.

Health and Safety
Often, yes. Lagree is low-impact by nature, and instructors offer modifications for every move. Check with your doctor before starting any new workout, tell your instructor before class so they can guide you, and consider starting with Beginner Forme.
Many clients continue Lagree during pregnancy, especially in the early stages, and instructors can offer modifications to keep you comfortable. Every pregnancy is different, so check with your doctor before starting or continuing any workout, and let your instructor know before class.
